Stretch Your Stamps, Day 3

I learned so much from yesterday's class, which centered around alphabet stamps and sentiments.  I was inspired big time and got right to work and managed to get 3 cards finished.

Julie showed us a technique for using an alphabet set which she called word search.  I was thrilled to be able to pull out this Hero Arts Happy Letters and make a card following her directions.  Other supplies: VersaFine onyx black ink, embossed in clear, Hero Arts Soft Granite ink, wood veneer hearts, colored with a marker and covered with glossy accents.

My next card is a CASE of one of Debby's cards; she taught us to stamp on our die-cuts with a sentiment, and since I have several birthdays coming up in the fall, I made an autumn birthday card.  I love her style!

supplies: Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts Stencil, tumbled glass distress ink, Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves die, colored with mustard seed and picked raspberry distress ink and overstamped with a part of a sentiment, "happy" that originally read "you are my happy" from a Hero Arts/Studio Calico clear set, My Happy, Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday die, Lawn Fawn sequins

And I fell in love with Jennifer Rzasa's design, and since I just got the Lil Inker Stitched Stars dies, I CASEd her card, too, just changing up my colors and constructing my sentiment from 3 different stamp sets:

Supplies: black and white cardstock, various hot pink, lime, black and white patterned papers for my stars, "you are" from Avery Elle's Laurels set, "my" from Winnie & Walter's The Big, the Bold and the Happy set, and "Happy" from Clearly Besotted's Happy Everything

Thanks for hanging in with me for this long post!

  8. Oh my goodness, you are really on a roll, Lin! I love the font on the first card and the color combo is fabulous...love those shiny red hearts, too! On your 2nd card, the leaf is so pretty, and the sentiment and sequins are perfect! I also love that you used the falling hearts stencil on this one! And, your last card is so fun! Great mix of patterns and colors, and your sentiment rocks! Jen Rzasa would be so impressed!
