Summer flowers and purple cards

Yesterday our heat finally broke, and I went outside and picked a little bouquet.
Daisies, purple bee balm, Salvia and annual hollyhocks (which only last a few hours cut).  These colors  also show up in these cards I just finished, using Flourishes Lilac stamp.

I stamped the lilacs on watercolor paper, colored them with watercolor pencils, then with a wet paintbrush to blend.  Then I masked the flower and overstamped the script background and added the sentiment.  I also did a little distressing on the background to make it look old.

Supplies: Flourishes Lilac Set #24, HA S4878 Old Letter Writing, CL173 Simple Messages, CL380 Truly Appreciated, iris and lavender blue cardstock, watercolor paper, Prismacolor watercolor pencils, Nestabilities labels eight, twine, blue pearls
