This card is for 2 challenges: using the fun sketch at
Get Sketchy, and using chipboard for Jenny's
Scrappy Saturday Challenge. I didn't think I had any chipboard, but I found a tags and frames set tucked away, and just inked these parentheses with some green ink. When I saw the sketch, my mind made it into a little garden plot, with rows of vegies and flowers. That led me to the wonderful summer colors in the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety mini deck, and then to the Hero Arts digital Poetic Petals. The sentiment is an old favorite from a Hero Arts clear set called Thoughtful Messages.
I'll also share a picture of what we saw outside our back patio Friday evening. We here in Canton, Ohio are celebrating the beginning of our Pro-Football Hall of Fame Festival, which begins with a balloon festival. We had about 8 or 10 balloons pass over our house - this was the most unusual one:
Yes, it really was this close! I think they were heading for an adjacent golf course to land in.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Lin! I love your mix of colours and patterns on the bottom panel - I'm thinking fab quilt!! The flower and delicate punched border are beautiful too! What an amazing hot air balloon, that must have been some sight seeing all those balloons fly right over your house!
