Moxie Fab World Shaped Sketch challenge

This week, Moxie Fab World is celebrating its newest issue called Card Ideas for Paper Crafters and it is full of sketches!  Here is the first sketch we have been given to play with:


Isn't it fun?  I was immediately drawn to it and here is what I came up with:


supplies: patterned papers from Cosmo Cricket, PinkPaislee, BoBunny, and Echo Park, The Craft's Meow stamp set "Baggin Some Rays", Hero Arts CL475 Friendly Flags, Adirondack cranberry and versafine onyx black inks, Nesties scalloped circle and circle dies

Once I had decided on the central sun, surrounding the circle with banners seemed the next logical step.  It measures about 6 inches across.

    Oh, wow! I love it! This is so cool, Lin! I love your fabulous colors and this take on the sketch is so creative! Love the use of the banner flags!

    I try to do many of the challenges over at Moxie World and when I saw this sketch I fell in love with it...haven't gotten mine made yet.

    Your sun is just wonderful! I love how you mixed up the papers and used the vibrant colors!

    awesome! one of my fave color combos. This really pops out and it has a bit of a quilt like feel which I also like.

    This is just fabulous!! What a lot of work you put into it but it works perfectly!!!! I've got to start playing along with those sketches!!!!!!!
