I am finally settled again, and hope to catch up on this wonderful class! Today in Day 7, Julie Ebersole gave us lots of ideas, titling her class "Plainly White". Here are 2 cards I made.
supplies: white and pink cardstock, Hero Arts LP206 Words & Flowers, Versafine onyx black ink, pink and green Memento markers, pop dot
I liked an example by Krystie Lee that was referenced, and I think this card achieves the purpose of today's class - but it kills me to leave it as is :)) The next card is more "me", but it follows Julie's first card example today, only much more colorful:
supplies: white cardstock, Sizzix embossing folder, papers from Crate Paper "Farmhouse" and My Mind's Eye "Hattie", Coredinations brown to frame, Hero Arts CL 342 Everyday Sayings, Memento Art Print Brown ink, Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly punch
I took Julie's suggestion to dry-emboss a pattern onto the card base and everything else is design papers with just the sentiment banner stamped.
You have been "missing in action" :) So glad to see you are back and love BOTH your cards!
ReplyDeleteboth of your cards are so pretty - especially like the second one!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to blogland, Lin! Hope you are enjoying beautiful sunshine there.
ReplyDeleteLove both of your cards - you did a great job with them! I have one made, but am waiting until tomorrow to have better light to take a photo. I love seeing the beautiful CAS cards others create; but it doesn't come easily to me:(
Well I've got to say that I like the second card better, so much life to it! And I really love your blog banner picture too!

ReplyDeleteOh, Lin, this day at class would have been my all-time favorite! I actaully LOVE your first card...I don't think it needs anything more added to it, it's simply marvelous! ReplyDeleteI love both cards. I like the way the first one has the red faux stitching to match the flower. The second one is a great design too with the dry-embossed background and pp. (I am not doing the class, so learning a few things from your cards), but still wondering if I should enrol and do it.

ReplyDeleteLin, all of these cards are so beautiful... that CAS card class was a GOOD one! I just wanted to come back here after seeing your "garden" card on Pinterest. I made a crd recently that I *thought* was inspired by an old design of mine, but perhaps a little inspired by yours as well. :) Just wanted to say thank you.
