Just me.....

Here are the colors for the challenge at CR84FN:

 

I used a new Hero Arts stamp set called Pattern Hearts & Flowers, and was heavily influenced by Tami and Lisa, coloring the flowers with distress inks mixed with water.  I colored my seam binding the same way.  (note to self: use a lighter hand with the worn lipstick distress ink next time - this is looking neon here :))


supplies: white cardstock, pinkpaislee dp from Nantucket pad, Hero Arts CL596 Pattern Hearts & Flowers, VersaMark clear ink and white embossing powder, colored with spiced marmalade, peeled paint, mustard seed, and worn lipstick distress inks, CL434 Just Find Me, Die-namics Decorative Doily, hand-dyed seam binding, Basic Grey Sweet Threads brad

    This is gorgeous Lin! Love how you colored those flowers in! :> I love the seam binding! Just got my hands on some and will have to try it! :> I think it looks great! :> For the ribbon did you layer the ribbon and instead of tieing it used the brad to hold it together?

    I don't think the ribbon is neon looking, it's a perfect match to the pink in the flowers! It's bright and cheery and I LOVE how you inked those flowers up! This is BEEEEAUTIFUL!!

    You really nailed this challenge - those flowers are the perfect colors and the ribbon is so pretty with the brad in the center. Love it!

    Wow - these flowers are amazing, Lin! I feel like I hae walked in your garden. You have already mastered this technique. And the colored-to-match binding is remarkable (& not too neon, really). Love this design, too.

    Beautiful card. I have used the seam binding for a while now, but have not used my Distress inks like this with stamped images. So cool. I think I will give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration :)
