Text Me

The challenge at CAS-ual Fridays this week is to use text in a Clean and Simple Card.

I've always been drawn to cards that incorporate text into the design, so I couldn't wait to start playing!  After trying various things, I remembered this pretty pink text paper from Jillibean Soup's Blossom Soup papers, and I decided to use it for my flowers.  

supplies: white cardstock, design papers from Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup (flowers) and Echo Park Hello Summer (leaves), Hero Arts CL527 Stitched Frame, AR137 Script Messages, VersaFine onyx black ink, yellow buttons, yellow embroidery floss

 And, I think "Sending Smiles" is a way of saying "Hello", don't you?  So I'm also entering this into the Moxie Fab World's Stamp It! Cards "Hello" challenge.

    This is gorgeous, Lin! Those flowers are so pretty and I'm in love w/that stitching background... I was fooled, because I could've sworn it was real until you mentioned it. HA! (:

    That pink text paper is very pretty! I love those yellow buttons and the patterned paper in the leaves too.

    I think you made the right choice white that patterned paper, the flowers are beautiful and I love the sentiment.

    Lovely card...great use of these stamps. Have this challenge on my list to do. Think our weather is about to cool off. Have not spent much time in gardens. How are You?

    I love the pink text paper for your flowers - so pretty! Did you stitch or pierce on the frame - it really looks stitched, Lin! I have this set and don't recall my stamping looking like real sewing - LOL. Hope you're having a great Sunday and thanks for commenting about your Girl Scout camp experience on my blog.
