A Special Day

I am in love with the new Pale Tomato mid-tone ink by Hero Arts!  Here I used it on both the Painted Flower stamp and the Tweed background.

The green ink is Field Greens, another mid-tone, and my sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusive called Like Your Style.

I'd like to enter this card into Moxie Fab World's Card Creations Week Chevron Challenge.

Here's another card using my new Painted Flower stamp, this time making my own background:

I used these mid-tone inks: bubble gum, butter bar, cornflower, and field greens, and the sentiment is from Made with Love.  After stamping my panel, I used the Houndstooth embossing folder to add some texture to it.

Thanks for visiting today - hope you have a special day!

  7. These are beauuuutiful, Lin! I love the second card and that you left off the stem to make a background.. it almost looks like fabric! I have that stamp on the way - can't wait 'til it gets here! :D Can you give me a color comparison on Pale Tomato? I'm on the fence about it... so many different pics of it on the internet, hard to tell what the true color is. What do you think... any close matches? Thank you, friend. :)
