Since I had my paste out earlier today, I thought I'd try using it with glitter. This stencil is called Let It Snow, and I used part of it on my plaid card HERE. Thought I'd concentrate just on the snowflakes this time. This isn't the best picture; it's taken at night, and I had to do some editing.....
After spreading the modeling paste on the stencil and lifting it, I carefully sprinkled on 4 different blues and greens and a white glitter (an old Martha Stewart Winter Wonderland set). I let that dry most of the afternoon, and weighted it down around the edges, as it warped a bit as it dried. To finish I stamped a sentiment from Kelly Purkey's Let It Snow stamp set and added various sequins.
It's far from perfect, but I had fun making it! Thanks for stopping by - keep warm!
Very pretty and sparkly - I love the glittery snowflakes. The sequins add just the right amount of extra bling, too.
ReplyDeleteLove the glitters over the paste - great texture and sparkle!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lin. Great idea to extend the use of the stencils.
ReplyDeleteThis card looks amazing. What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteLike your snowflakes better than the cold ones outside. Very Pretty! Keep warm.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS card! Love all those pretty colors on the snowflakes!
ReplyDeleteThose snowflakes are so pretty, sparkly and I love how delicate they are too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lin. How did you get the glitter to stick? Is is a very fine glitter? I tried with some distress glitter on a tiny stencil and it was a disaster.
ReplyDeleteBack to your gorgeousness...those snow flakes are lovely and dimensional and sparkly...just like a pristine snow on a sunny day.
Oh how gorgeous!!! I love the snowflakes and all the different colors!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful effect that glitter has on the modelling paste Lin!
ReplyDeleteModelling paste and glitter, wow, how fun! And the results are beautiful Lin! You stay warm too!
ReplyDeleteThose are some beautifully glittered snowflakes!
ReplyDeleteWe've got some white glittering snow on the ground, but with temps near 50 this coming weekend, it'll all be gone.
