It got close to 50 degrees here today - a heat wave for the beginning of March in this cold winter this year! I wanted to make something springy, and was influenced first by
this lovely card of Clare's, especially her embossed background. It reminded me that I had gotten a new embossing folder but hadn't used it yet, so I pulled out some Core'dinations WhiteWash paper and the Rosa folder and started there. When sanded, the blue core matches Simon's new Surf Blue cardstock perfectly, so that came into the mix, and then I decided I needed a spring flower and brought out these
digital daffodils from Jane's Doodles. Can't wait to see these happy flowers for real soon! Here is the result:
My sentiment is from a retired The Craft's Meow Easter Greetings stamp set, and the rest of my supplies are listed below, and can be found at the Simon Says Stamp Superstore. Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a great weekend! Wishing us all lots of daffodils very soon!

Thank you for bringing a bit of spring to my day, Lin! Beautiful card! ♥
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card, Lin! You bring me into the right mood to work in my garden today!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love to see the daffoldils flowering! Since we have a bit of higher tempertures lately, higher than mostly during this time of year, we already see the daffodils begin flowering. That makes me happy, spring is coming! And they expect a week with a lot of sunshine, mmm, hope to go out for more long walks. Yesterday I went for a bike ride with my husband without a coat! That was great!
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with the soft blue you achieved with the Core'dinations whitewash cardstock...your embossed background is gorgeous, Lin! I love the pretty yellow daffodils, too! This is really a stunning card!
