Starting with a panel of watercolor paper, I stamped this beautiful floral bouquet from Thanks a Bunch using picked raspberry and peeled paint distress inks. I love that the image is broken down into about 6 different stamps, which enables you to vary the colors. Next I wet a fine paint brush and went over all of the stamped images, softening the lines and filling in the white areas. Then I overstamped 1 more time with the leaf veins stamps, again using peeled paint, and stopped there. Next I smooshed the 2 distress inks on acrylic blocks, mixed them well with water, and then loaded that fine paint brush and flicked some color in the background. To finish I added one of the gorgeous sentiments from Oh Happy Day, and glued on a silk ribbon. I'm really pleased with the way this turned out!
Thanks for stopping by today - enjoy the rest of your weekend!
