supplies: kraft, blue, Green Leaf and Green Apple card stock, (retired) MFT Spring Wreath die, (retired) Memory Box Perched Reed Bird, Simon's Happy clear stamps, heart punch, twine, faded jeans and abandoned coral distress oxide inks, Colorbox Frost White cat's eye ink pad, tea dye distress ink
This bird die has always been a favorite of mine - it fits into most wreaths or branches, so I first cut out 2 of him from desert storm kraft card and inked them to resemble bluebirds. I cut 2 shades of green for my wreath, and, influenced by Pam's 2nd card in THIS post, sponged some tea dye distress ink around the wreath and the edges of my card.
It's been 47 years for us - how about you?
We are coming up for 37 years in October. Congratulations on your 47!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Lin. We had our 40th this January. Congrats on reaching 47
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card, and I do love the s[ponged 'shadow' behind the wreath. Treasure your man, and enjoy your years together

beautiful card! it will 47 yrs also for us this year in Sept.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Lyn, love how you have done the birds so very pretty. Though we have been together longer we are only at the infancy of our marriage 21 years. But I love to watch the love of my parents coming up on their 66th year. Though mum is lost in her own world she still knows his smell and touch and I see the love that shines out of dads eyes each day when he visits her in the cottage. May we all have such love.
ReplyDeleteThis post is 5 years old but I will still answer the question. We were married in 97 making us 26 years in July. Year 24 was the worst. I’m glad that’s over. Lol
ReplyDeleteI love your bird cards.
