supplies: white card stock, red and white glitter card stock, an old snowflake patterned paper, Santa Parade dies (includes sentiment dies, too), adhesive foam squares
This card measures about 8" long by 4" wide, and it will fit into a business envelope. Sharyn does beautiful papercuts, and her products include amazing silhouette dies, usually cut in black. But I just didn't like the way black looked against this background, so I did white instead. If you look closely, I also cut out the parade from white glitter card, and off-set it to show behind the plain white, giving a little extra sparkle, just like fresh snow does......Here's another look where you may be able to see the glitter a bit better. I popped up the layered silhouette from the card for some extra dimension.
I do believe this is my first Christmas card for this year! Have you started yours yet?
Oh, I like the dimension, this is cute!
ReplyDeleteI noticed the dimension on this, and the white silhouettes are perfect on this card Lin.

So pretty Lin. Love the white silhouette
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! It reminds me of a vintage Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet silhouette for Christmas. The glittered layers give the card that extra special bling.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing Lin. Love that bit of sparkle behind your image along with the red sparkle edge on your cardbase. I have some cards made, and hope to finish them by the end of October. I love your new header too, what a fabulous loving fall tree.
ReplyDeleteI snipped this with a pair of scissors and now that Spellbinders has turned it into a die, we can do them fast and easy. I love how you've given it such lovely dimension. What a pretty card!
