Christmas Roses

supplies: kraft and green cardstock, BoBunny Wild Berry and Chiffon Flourish papers, Hobby Lobby music paper, Hero Arts CG430 Etched Flowers, CL460 Joy to All, green marker, barn door distress ink, red pearls, Sizzix Swirly Vines with Hearts embossing folder, Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam squares

Here's another card for this month's Hero Arts contest, this one using dry embossing and a bit of bling.  The Etched Flowers is on loan from my friend Carol.  I stamped it on a tone-on-tone flourish pattern, and also on music paper, then colored in the leaves and paper-pieced the flowers.  Since dry embossing is one of the things that are required this month, I decided to emboss the whole card (except the sentiment).  Irl, the texture is very striking, and makes for a different look.

I have always loved this rich tan with darker red and green for Christmas.....kind of antique-y looking, don't you think?
