I simply centered the stencil on my card base, masking the lower portion, and sponged on mustard seed and some spiced marmalade distress inks, then lifted the stencil and stamped my sentiment. This particular one is a favorite of mine, going way back to my college days........not a bad motto to live by, is it?
Then I remembered this cute sun from a company that closed its doors, called Our Craft Lounge. So I stamped and cut him out and added him to the corner:
I'm not sure which of these I like - what do you think?
Thanks for coming by today - hope your week is a great one!

Love that sentiment and the stencil! I think I like the first one the best.
ReplyDeleteWell Lin I like the second with the fussy cut sun. It adds a sweet element of FUN!
ReplyDeleteA real eye catcher! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat card(s) Lynne. I love the first version as it is super stylish, but I do like the second version as I always enjoy a sweet bit of cute! Jo x
ReplyDeleteFun cards, Lin! Love them both! Your shading with the stencil is beautiful and you definitely found the perfect sentiment!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the first one, but the second one is definitely a winner, too! Love the distress ink colors you used and that sentiment is such a good one.
ReplyDeleteLoving the smiley sun on your second card! What a great background and I love the sentiment :)
ReplyDeleteI love both of them. I think the first card is elegant and the second has a fun flair. Love them both.
ReplyDeleteThe stencil and sentiment are the perfect combo! I prefer the first as it is a bit more CAS but love both :)
ReplyDeletePerfect stencil and sentiment. Love the first one.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and saying! I prefer the card without the sun - it's so beautiful it doesn't need anything else!
ReplyDeleteI think I love them both...great happy cards...
