Hello Love

I was really intrigued by our inspiration this week at The Runway Inspired Challenge, from the Marcus Lupfer Fall 2014 collection.  It takes me back to my college years in the late 60's, early 70's.  I think we wore our skirts even shorter, but the pattern stirs a memory for me......

The first thing that jumped out at me was the pattern of the cloth, with the black "love" motifs on it, and after that, the bits of orange and what appear to be script.  The design made me remember this dp from an older Basic Grey collection called Kioshi, so I made that my base.

And I overstamped this stylized love motif from Simon Says Stamp's Tag Sayings, alng with the script from an old Hero Arts woodblock set, Artistic Windows.  I found a sheet of orange to match the orange in my paper from another Basic Grey pad, Ambrosia, and skewed the 2 panels to mimic the way the model is standing.  And I added this die-cut hello (Simon's small hello die) in black to finish.  

I'm really interested to see what everyone else's takes on this are!
