CASE-ing an old card

I was tooling through Pinterest and was surprised to find this old gem has been pinned 20,000 times!.......it's from 2012.

So I decided to play with the idea of text and die-cut flowers and buttons again, using newer materials, and here's the result:

supplies: cream cardstock, design papers from My Favorite Things Dots & Stripes Sorbet and Fresh papers, plaid paper from My Favorite Things Farm Fresh Gingham papers, text paper from an ancient October Afternoon Thrift Shop pad (the same one I used in the inspiration card), Spellbinder's Rose Creations dies, leaves from Simon's Single Roses die set, Wplus9 Hand Lettered Hello die, Simon's Stitched Rectangle die, tiny craft buttons

I cut the leaves from 2 different green design papers and mixed them up when I placed the centers back into the edges.

These colors work for the current Color Throwdown challenge, so I'm entering it there.

Off to a new week - hope it's a great one for you!

I'm not at all surprised that your card was pinned so many times -- you should see how many times I pin your projects myself! I love the text addition to the flowers, and your new version is even prettier than the old one!

You make such fabulous cards, there is no surprise its been pinned so many times! Your newer take is wondeful, love that you used two different papers for the leaves, wonderful contrasts with the outline and the inner portion.
