Spellbinders Club Kits for March: Stitching, 3D Embossing Folder, Large Dies and Clear Stamps/Die

The Spellbinders Club Kits are now available until March 27!  Today I have 2 cards and a bookmark to show off the new goodies.  I'm starting out with the Stitching Kit: Stitched Read and Sip and the 3D Embossing Folder: Classic Backdrop.

supplies: white, cream, coral pinks, yellow, kraft and gold foil cardstock, Stitched Read & Sip Stitching Dies, 4 strands of metallic gold embroidery thread, sentiment from Sketched Lines Glimmer Kit, gold glimmer foilClassic Backdrop 3D embossing folder

I used metallic gold embroidery thread for my stitching on the book and the cup, and also gold foil cardstock for lots of details, and foiled my sentiment in gold also.

The embossing folder is a classic design, and will work for so many occasions.  It's aptly named!

My next card features the Large Dies of the Month: Classic Tales.  I made a card that would work for someone moving into a new home.

supplies: Surf Blue background, peaches, greens, kraft, cream, white, and yellow cardstock, Classic Tales dies, another sentiment from the Sketched Lines Glimmer kit, gold glimmer foil

I followed the example on the front of the Large Dies of the Month to put these dies together.  There's 1 other book spine that I didn't use this time.

Finally I made a little bookmark using the Clear Stamps and Dies:  Storytime Gnomes.

supplies: white and Green Apple cardstock, bias stripe patterned paper, Storybook Gnomes stamps, matching dies, (retired) mini slimline dies, twine

You can look HERE for information on Spellbinders Clubs.  Each is available only from the 6th until the 27th of each month.  If you click on my links under each card, you can see the specifics of each product.  You can subscribe to each of our 10 kits separately, (and you can "unjoin" a subscription at any time without any penalty), or you can get them all and save 60% by choosing the Deluxe Caboodle!

Sending Warm Wishes

Here's another set from The Greetery that can be used all year long, but I made it into an autumn card today.

supplies: pool and white cardstock, plaid dp from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Fall, woodgrain plank dp from SN@P Wood and Notebook Basics, The Greetery Cozy Cup layering stamps and matching dies, Cozy Cup Coaster, stamped flower from The Greetery Banner & Bough, Altenew mini inks

After choosing my pattern for my coaster, I chose colors that matched it for my stamping.  The sentiment reads "sending warm wishes".

This is the perfect season for enjoying a cup of coffee or cocoa or tea with a friend, isn't it?

Merry Mugs

Nichol Spohr has just unveiled her new collection at Spellbinders that she calls the Merry Mug and Circle Delights Collection!  I was so pleased to get most of these dies, and I'll try to share what I made with them over the next few days.

Today I have a fun card that uses her Merry Mug dies.  This set consists of a mug to piece, plus various supporting dies to embellish the cup AND things like whipped cream, peppermint sticks, marshmallows!  The cups are so easy to put together that I couldn't stop at just one, and made a stack of them.

supplies: white, reds, greens, and aquas cardstock,  Merry Mugs dies (poinsettia and leaves are not from this set), sentiment from last year's Spellbinders Christmas Card kit

You could go on and on with these if you put them onto a slimline card!

I hope to see you again tomorrow - thanks for stopping by!

Cards from World Card Making Day!

Here are the cards I made this weekend as part of World Card Making Day.

supplies: white card, Doodlebug orange Buffalo Check patterned paper, PinkFresh Studio Daisy Wreath stencil set, Altenew Golden Sunset, Lime, and Fresh Leaf inks, Simon Blender Brushes, sentiment from Hello BlueBird Pumpkin Time, copper sequins, adhesive foam to lift large daisies

October is one of my favorite months, so I gathered some of my favorite supplies together for this card.  I'd like to enter this one into PinkFresh Studio's World Card Making Day Challenge.

Next is my first play with The Greetery's Cozy Cup stamps and dies.  They were released in 2019, but I just was able to grab them thanks to a recent Card of the Week post and sale that Betsy does every Monday.  I love my coffee, but don't have many stamps to prove it, so this one can be checked off my wishlist.  I thought I'd do it up in fall colors for its first outing.  There's a sentiment for that in the set.

supplies: white card, a MFT heart patterned paper, Cozy Cup stamps and matching dies and Cozy Cup Coaster die, altenew inks, twine

And finally, a card using just a few of the supplies in the Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit.

supplies: white card base, black and fall colors from Assorted Card Fronts packFriend Outline dieKaleidoscope embossing folder

I cut 1/2" strips from white and 5 of the fall-colored cardstock panels in the assorted pack, and wove them together.  That panel was then put into the Kaleidoscope embossing folder for some "quilted" texture, before I matted it onto black, and then onto the card front.  To finish I used the friend die in the kit.

The idea for this design comes from a sampler quilt I made in the 1990's that had blocks scattered throughout which spelled out "welcome home".  Here's a picture of it.

Thanks for stopping by - have a great week!

Pumpkin Spice Latte

I adore Doodlebug Designs products, so when I saw their new Pumpkin Spice collection, I dove in!  Here's my first card.

supplies: kraft and parchment cardstock, Doodlebug Pumpkin Spice paper pad, Pumpkin Spice doodle pop, pieced sentiment from 2 Concord & 9th turnabout sets: Snowflakes and Coffee Blend

These papers are so scrumptious, it's hard for me to use them, but I chose 2, and added some kraft and an aqua dot to the mix.  This doodle-pop set had the little hearts included, which went nicely with my sentiment!

It's Friday - hope your weekend is a great one!  We plan to get in maybe our last outside dining for awhile for date night, then we'll be back to take out again.

Coffee & Cream

Hi!  Here's a unique backstory for the making of my card today.  Last Saturday night,  I woke up about 3 am with a headache.  Thank goodness I don't get migraines, and these headaches I've had all my life have lessened as I get older, but this one was bad enough to wake me up.  So I took a caffeine pill, and it took awhile before it kicked in.  In the meantime, you know how your thoughts are in the wee hours - I went from caffeine to coffee, and then I had the idea to use these beautiful cafe au lait colors for a card.  When I got up the next morning, I decided to recreate a design I've done before using them.  Here it is.

supplies: cream cardstock, various browns/tans and a green from Doodlebug Rainbow paper pads: ginghams, florals, stripes, dots, MFT Stitched Blooms dies, sentiment from Hero Arts Hello Sunshine Daisies, stamped in vintage photo distress ink, Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle die, ancient My Mind's Eye enamel dots

Brown flowers wouldn't usually be my first choice, but I do like how this turned out, with all the little patterns mixing in that 1 color - what do you think?  Thanks for visiting today!

Another Tea Cup

This set is so much fun to play with - the images are small and easy to color and fussy-cut, and I'm loving finding pretty papers to paper-piece the cup and saucer!

supplies: white cardstock, floral and dot dps from my stash, Wplus9 Hello and Thanks stamp set, Marina Blues, Sunshine Yellows, and Irish Clover Nuvo markers to color, Sunny Studio Quilted Hearts embossing folder, sentiment from (retired) Simon Flower Friend, MFT Mini Stitched Scallop Rectangle

This time I added a scrap of embossing as a tablecloth under the teacup.  If you'd like to see my other cards with this set, check out yesterday's post or click HERE.  And I forgot to mention last time, but there's a matching die set, too.

Thanks for visiting - have a lovely day!

Hello

I have 2 cards today that I made with a new-to-me Wplus9 stamp set that I've had on my list since it was released.  I often stick cuttings from our garden into cups, especially in the spring when the flowers are scarce and small........so this set spoke to me, especially with the little birds that Dawn included!

supplies: white and Doll Pink cardstock, various dps from MFT and Carta Bella,  Wplus9 Hello and Thanks stamps, Nuvo Rosy Pinks and Irish Clover markers to color, Penny Black Stitched Stackers die

And another, in cooler colors, using just the flower sprigs and a sentiment.

supplies: white, Lavender and light blue cardstock, Wplus9 Hello and Thanks, Nuvo markers (Parma Violets, Marina Blues, Woodland Greens, and Irish Clover), Simon Stitched Rectangle and Winnie & Walter Audrey dies

This time I used some lapis lazuli and enchanted garden mini inks to stamp my sentiment.

Are you enjoying your holiday?  Thanks for taking the time to stop by today!

supplies: Surf Blue and cream cardstock, lots of fall design papers, Newton's Nook Fall-ing for You, Hero Arts Coffee Cup dies, My Favorite Things Stitched Tag die, Technique Tuesday Hugs die, Impression Obsession leaf die, Simon's Stitched Rectangle die, natural twine

I thought this sentiment summed up pretty well what fall means to me, and it was fun to pair it with the coffee cup.  I love all the fall coffee flavors that pop up each season!
