Here's my card for this month's Woodblock Wednesday. I used a stamp from a company called Outlines; I believe they were sold here at Archivers. This one's called Split Layering Collage Autumn, and has no date..

Thanksgiving Blessings
I was going through my old wreath dies, and decided to play once again with this Stitched Leaf Wreath from Simon Says Stamp, from maybe about 2015. I pulled out some bright fall colors of cardstock for the leaves.

For Thanksgiving
I haven't played with Altenew's Garden Picks dies in a long while, and thought they'd make a nice card for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Fall Foliage Cards
I've got all my assignments done for this month, so I'll be finishing it off with some Thanksgiving cards. Today I'm playing with an old favorite Taylored Expressions stamp and stencil set called Fall Foliage Background. Instead of stamping, this time I utilized the matching Foil It background panels, which foil the skeleton leaves.
You start with one of the panels, foil it in your laminator, then use the 3-piece stencil set to color in the details. I enjoy this process so much that I made 3 cards. The twinkle from these across the room is a sweet little surprise.

Some Wreaths for November Thanks
It's November! This month is for being grateful, and so I thought I'd start it out with a couple wreath cards for that occasion.
Both of them start with cream card bases, and use Concord & 9th Turnabout products and the same 4 colors of distress oxide inks.
My first card uses a turnabout stamp set called Harvest Wreath.

Mini Slimline Thanksgiving Cards
I really enjoy working with Taylored Expressions stencils! Today's cards are made with their Triple Slim Falling for You set and matching Foil-It panels.
supplies: white and orange cardstock, Falling For You stencil set and matching Foil It panel, fall colors of distress inks, sentiment from Impression Obsession (retired) Early Sunsets clear set, copper foil, laminator
For both cards, I started with the Foil It panel and foiled it in my laminator. This gives a sparkle to the skeletons of the leaves. Then I used the matching stencils to color in the details. Each panel was matted on a colored cardstock and the sentiment was stamped or die-cut. I always have fun deciding on which colors of inks will work with each other. Almost anything usually works together - this time I loved the bright cracked pistachio mixed with the hot pink and orange on the first card!
If you enjoy stencilling I highly recommending giving Taylor's stencil sets a try - she has lots of them to pick from!

Leftovers
Last year I made these 2 card fronts but never finished them into a card. They were waiting for me in my fall bin of supplies this year. So I found some sentiments for them and put them onto a card base. Both started with Taylored Expressions "foil it" panels.

Serenade of Autumn
There's a new collection at Spellbinders released earlier this week called Serenade of Autumn. It's a large collection, containing 18 different items, from papers to dies and everything in between. I was lucky to get to play with a stencil and a set of sentiment dies from it! Here's my card.

Postage Edge Shapes
Becca Feeken has a new release which launched earlier this week. I have been looking for some postage-edge dies for a long time, so I was thrilled to be able to get these to play with!
The set consists of 4 different sizes of rectangular postage frames, plus 4 more dies with pinpoint details, a total of 8 dies altogether.
For my first card, I paired the rectangles with some fall motifs, also by Becca.
Next, I used the largest rectangle and paired it with the next-to-smallest postage edge die and some supplies from the Santa Lane Christmas kit.

Fluted Classics Ovals
Becca Feeken has launched another collection at Spellbinders which is called Fluted Classics. I chose the Oval version to play with today, and made a card for Thanksgiving.
supplies: white, Audrey Blue, oranges, golds, greens, and kraft cardstock, Spellbinders Fluted Classic Oval die and flowers from an April 2019 Small Die of the Month die set, Simon Says Stamp Vine Canopy embossing folder and sentiment from (retired) Autumn Blessings
This die set has 9 different oval dies, which break down to 3 sizes. I used the medium size. Like all of the classic dies, these will be useful for so many applications!
Thanks to Spellbinders for sharing these with me.

Grateful Leaves
Today I have another card made using the Taylored Expressions Fall Foliage Background stamp and stencil combo. This set is very addictive, and comes together so quickly! And although I'm using fall colors again, it would be just as pretty done in several shades of greens, or pastels for spring. What sets this set apart is the addition of a detailing stamp to give more depth to the stencilled leaves.
I stamped and stencilled my panel, trimmed it a bit, then die-cut the maple leaf and sentiment dies. The panel was popped above some woodgrain patterned paper, then my sentiment was centered inside.
Distress inks work really nicely with these stencils - I applied them with a blender brush; and the stencils themselves clean up easily with just water, since these inks are water-based. If you'd like to see some more color combinations for this set, you might like to go back to THIS POST. I think this set will become a much-used favorite!
Thank you for stopping by - have a great weekend!
