All the way from Holland!

This amazing creation arrived in the mail today from Lai Yoke, who lives in Holland.  Isn't it wonderful?  I love the design - each element is showcased to perfection.......the snowflakes are clear embossed to give them a little glow, and I love her double stamping of white over  the purple sentiment.  Do you see the framing done in purple?  It adds such a surprising touch, makes the card extra rich, I think.  And my favorite thing is the glitter encircling the sweet baby reindeer.  Thanks, Lai Yoke, this will go on our mantle for all to see!

September Card Chain Challenge

Feast your eyes on this masterpiece that I received this week from Betty.  Is it not a poster for autumn?  The colors are magnificent with texture and pattern and stitching and REAL leaves (coated with Glossy Accents)!  It looks like a miniature quilt, don't you think?  If you'd like to see more of Betty's gorgeous creations, here is her Flickr photostream.  And she also sent me one of her adorable notepads!

I received this as a result of Deborah's monthly Card Chain.  Each month she gives us a color scheme, a choice of themes, and a template to use to make our card.  We sign up at the end of one month for the next month, and everyone sends someone else a card following the guidelines.  We have participants from all over the world!  If you'd like to get in on the fun, check Deborah's blog at the end of this month and sign up!

May Card Chain Challenge

Every month, Deborah organizes a card exchange.  We can make a card using her colors, a sketch, or a theme.  I received my cards today from Patty, and I wanted to share both these lovelies with you.  First the card using Deborah's colors.  There are so many sweet details on this, the ribbon used as the butterfly's body, her soft shading of the music paper, even the little antennae are sparkled at the very tips!

And look at this beauty she also sent me!  She knows how much I love lilacs, and especially this one she created earlier, so I am thrilled to have this masterpiece!
Isn't it gorgeous?   Even better in person, there are 3 layers of lilac petals, in beautiful shades of lavendars, purples, and blues.  Here is her Flickr post where she explains how she created this beauty.  While you're there, look through her photostream; she has made so many unique cards!

Thank you, Patty, I will treasure both of these!
