25 Days of Christmas Tags!

I'm so pleased to be participating in Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags today as the Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday challenges teams join in her annual feature!  It's her 9th year!!  Every day, November 4 - 29, she'll be featuring a different company, and today is Simon Says Stamp's day!  There will be giveaways and prizes to be won!

My first tag this year is made exclusively of dies and uses lots of my favorite motifs!

supplies: Simon Green Leaf and gold foil cardstock, board design paper from SN@P Wood & Notebook Basics paper pad, gingham paper from Sunny Studio Classic Gingham paper pad, Simon's Pine Needle Wreath (and underneath) Chisolm Wreath dies, Joy die, bow from Pink Fresh Studio Partial Diecut Bouquet and Bow die, MFT Stitched Tag die, red pearls, natural twine

I first cut out a twig wreath (Chisolm Wreath), then 2 of the Pine Needle Wreaths, which gave me lots of pine sprigs.  They were glued to the twig wreath.   then I simply added berries, a gingham bow, and my favorite sentiment, and lifted the wreath above my shiplap tag.

Here's a little closer picture.

My 2nd tag was really easy to make, thanks to the Ho Ho Deer Circle die.

supplies: kraft cardstock, an old dp from Simple Stories, Simon's Ho Ho Deer Circle die and Holiday Greetings Mix 1 sentiment, Lipstick Red ink, red pom pom and jingle bells, twine, MFT Stitched Tag die

The hardest part of this tag was threading the twine through the bells!

By playing along and making a tag for this event, YOU could win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store!  And we're just one of 26 companies offering fun prizes!

There are lots of ways to win prizes - see Tracey's Blog for all the details, and to enter a tag of your own.  There are lots of companies offering fun prizes!

So pleased to be participating in Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags today as some of the Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday challenges teams kick off her annual feature!  It's her 8th year!!  Every day, from now through Nov. 26, she will be featuring a different company, and today is Simon Says Stamp's day!  There will be giveaways and prizes to be won!

I made 2 tags for today.  This first one is a woodland tag that features Simon's Retro Deer die.

supplies: kraft, pine green, and white cardstock, Kaisercraft mint plank dp (retired), Simon's Retro Deer die and (retired) Kelly Purkey Let It Snow sentiment, Tim Holtz Layering stencil, pine needles distress ink and Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste, MFT Stitched Tag die, snowflake die, pine ribbon and twine

I first cut my stitched tag from the plank patterned paper, then stenciled 2 trees onto it, adding in the details with glimmer paste.  The deer was cut twice and glued together for strength, then popped above my panel.  I added my sentiment and snowflakes and popped the whole thing onto a slightly larger tag, adding a twine and ribbon bow.

Here's another, featuring the Picture Book Snowman die.

supplies: white Audrey Blue, Surf Blue, Sea Glass, Schoolhouse Red, Green Leaf, Orange Peel, and black cardstock,  BoBunny green dot dp, Simon Picture Book Snowman with Be Joyful sentiment, Memory Box Holly leaves die, various snowflake dies, MFT Stitched Tag die, green ribbon, white string

25 Days of Christmas Tags

I'm so pleased to be taking part once again in Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags; Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring today's post at her blog!  Members of Simon's Monday and Wednesday challenge blogs were invited to help promote this special event, and it's great fun to have both teams working together this year!

I used one of my favorite new Simon Says Stamp dies and made a shaker tag this year!

supplies: white and Audrey Blue cardstock, aqua glitter paper, Simon's Birch Tree Window die and sentiment from Presents & Ornaments, confetti mix, stitched snowflake dies, Stitched tag die, seam binding bow

I cut 2 stitched tags, and then die-cut my Birch Tree Window from the top one.  Then I constructed a Shaker using acetate and double-sided adhesive foam tape, dumped in my confetti mix and then attached the 2 tags together.  To finish, I just added my sentiment and some glitter snowflakes, along with a seam binding bow.

I hope you'll visit Tracey's blog, In My Creative Opinion, every day to see her fantastic array of Christmas/Holiday tags all throughout this month.  She has 25 sponsors for her 25 days of tags!

Do you want to win a prize?  Prizes will be drawn from the comments on Tracey's posts each day, the posts of any or all of her guests, and by creating a Christmas Tag inspired by a tag you see during the event.  Details and a link up are at Tracey's blog; you have until December 2 at 12:00 am.  Prizes will be announced Dec. 9 on her blog.

Simon Says Stamp is offering a $50.00 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store!

Snow Much Joy

I have been on the hunt for a Hero Arts snowman for a couple of years.  He's from their Snow Much Joy set from 2013, which has been discontinued by Hero Arts.  He's perfect for coloring or paper-piecing, or a combination of both like I did, and is easy to cut out, too.  I finally found a set last week on Ebay and so here is my first stamping of him!

supplies: white cardstock, dps from a Lawn Fawn Christmas paper pad, Hero Arts Snow Much Joy snowman, Dienamics Stitched Tag die, Lawn Fawn stitched snowflake die, Doodlebug baker's twine, and tiny red pearls

I'd like to enter this into Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I was inspired by the snowmen tags on Day 9 of her challenge.

A Holiday Tag

Tracey's got me in the Holiday Tag mood, so I made one for her challenge, the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, and also for Avery Elle's monthly AEI♥U challenge, using some of my favorite Avery Elle stamps.

supplies: White cardstock, Simon Stitched Rectangles die, Avery Elle Let It Snow and Storybook clear stamp sets, VersaMark ink and white embossing powder, tumbled glass distress ink, VersaFine onyx black, ink, Hero Arts Red Royal ink, markers to color, Simon's Falling Snow stencil and Signo white gel pen, snowflake sequins, red ribbon

I was inspired by Tracey's Peace Tag on November 3; she had a woodland background on it, which reminded me of these stamps.

Christmas Quilt tag

I just got some dies and wanted to give them a test run - what better way than to make a tag?  I have been inspired by Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas series on her blog, and decided to join in the fun!

The tag itself is a MFT DieNamics Stitched Tag.  The quilt block is a Wplus9 design from their Quilt Cuts 2 - I have wanted this FOREVER, but it has always been sold out; finally scooped a set up!  I pieced it using papers from Lawn Fawn's Snow Day collection, and my sentiment is a Hero Arts one from 2009, called Holiday Sayings.

This was just as much fun as making a real quilt, and LOTS faster!  Also entering this into Inspiration Journal's November challenge: Happy Holidays!
