Autumn Blessings

Here's the last installment of my seasonal set of cards using The Greetery products.

supplies: white and Burnt Orange cardstock, The Greetery Autumn Sketches and Robin and Wren stamps and matching die, Simon Four Seasons die, stamped sentiment from The Craft's Meow, Penny Black Stitched Stackers die

Here are the other seasons: Spring, Summer, and Winter.

I tried to keep a few elements the same, using season dies from the same set, and a border of Stitched Stackers, in addition to the Robin stamp, just varying the colors.

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Summer

Since this weekend here in the States is thought of as the official opening of summer, I thought I'd add a summer version to my seasonal set of cards using The Greetery supplies.  I've already made this card featuring a red bird and a robin, so today it's a bluebird.

supplies: white, black, and Cornflower cardstock, The Greetery Autumn Sketches branch and Robin and Wren layered stamps, Altenew mini inks, Simon's Four Seasons die and stamped (retired) sentiment from Winnie & Walter, Penny Black Stitched Stackers die

Hope your holiday weekend is going well!  We have finally got our temps up to what they should be for this time of year, and are doing some planting in our gardens this weekend.  How about you?

Hello Spring Robin!

February is usually when I've had it with winter. This year we haven't had much snow here so far, but it's the lack of sunshine that gets to me........it seems that it's constantly overcast.   We've got a ways to go yet for spring to arrive, so here's something to tide us over until it does.  For me, the return of the robins is a sure sign that spring is coming!  This is a variation of my winter card from last year.

supplies: white, black, and Surf Blue cardstock, The Greetery Robin and Wren and Blooming Branch layered stamps, Altenew mini inks, tumbled glass and a blender brush, Simon Four Seasons die, Penny Black Stitched Stackers die

These sweet little birds are such a pleasure to stamp.  I think I'll do a 4-seasons group of them!

Winter Wonderland

I wanted to play with some more new Greetery goodies, so I made a winter card!

supplies: white and Peacock Teal cardstock, The Greetery Winter Sketches and Robin and Wren layering stamp sets, Altenew mini ink cubes, Simon's 4 Seasons die and (retired) Hand Lettered Winter Wishes snowflake, stamped sentiment from Winnie & Walter Big Bold Seasons, Penny Black Stitched Stackers die, evergreen bough distress ink

I love these stamp sets that stamp layers to give detail - both the branch and the bird are that kind.   I also love how nicely all of these stamps play together - it's fun to mix up new and old!

How are your Christmas preparations going?  I think I'm ready!

Four Seasons

Awhile back in the spring, on the Hero Arts flickr discussion board, I mentioned that I was looking for a retired Hero Arts wood-block text set, called Seasonal Memories.  A very special lady named Robyn found a set on sale in her local store and offered to buy and send it to me!  I used the "spring" one almost immediately, but the rest of the set has been unused ever since.  Yesterday I decided to try and use all of them and make a series of cards, 1 for each of the seasons.  For 3 of the 4 of them, I used cling negative image stamps, inked with distress inks and spritzed with water before stamping.  For the fall one, I masked the square and stamped the Maple Leaf cling several times in various fall hues of distress ink.  Here is a collage of all of them, followed by closer-up views of each one:

supplies: LL007 Seasonal Memories, stamped in Versafine onyx black ink

supplies: white card stock, CG165 Silhouette Bells, worn lipstick distress ink, spritzed with water, CL184 Thoughtful Messages, versafine onyx black ink, K5185 Wallpaper Flowers, stamped on yellow card stock, punched fern, yellow pearls

supplies: white card stock, CG176 Butterfly Field, shabby shutters distress ink, spritzed with water, CL431 Just Find Me ("smile"), digital Flutterbies, lavender and aqua card stock, pearls

supplies: white card stock, CG228 Maple Leaf, scattered straw, wild honey, mustard seed, spiced marmalade and barn door distress inks, CL361 Season of Giving (sentiment), CL119 Happy Thanksgiving (tiny leaves), various autumnal card stocks, autumnal gemstones

supplies: white card stock, CG224 Starry Night, faded jeans distress ink spritzed with water, CL460 Joy to All, versafine onyx black ink, punched snowflakes, clear gemstones

Because these are all stamped, I'm entering them into the Stamp It! Cards Week Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
