Simon Says Stamp All the Feels release!

Simon's newest release called All the Feels is live!

I received a CZ Design die called Happy Everything, and for my first card, paired it with a 3D embossing folder for spring!

supplies: white, black and yellow cardstock, Simon Floral Field embossing folder and NEW Happy Everything dies, white pigment ink and a yellow ink for daisy centers, Spellbinder Daisy dies

I simply embossed on yellow cardstock, then rubbed white pigment ink across the surface, and a little yellow ink in the centers of the flowers, then added my sentiment and daisy.

My next card is 180 degrees from the above one, about as simple as I get!

supplies: white, black, Cotton Candy, Banana, Green Apple, Surf Blue, Lavender, and a soft apricot cardstock, vellum, NEW Happy Everything dies, tiny heart die

I did diagonal stripes in a pastel rainbow order, and added some tiny hearts here and there.

New Release at Simon Says Stamp: Hello Beautiful!

Simon's newest release, Hello Beautiful, is now live!  You can see it HERE.

I was sent a new stencil called Mix and Match Squares, and made 2 cards with it today.

supplies: white cardstock, Simon's Mix and Match Squares stencil, tumbled glass oxide ink, Stylized Tulips die, mustard seed and mowed lawn distress ink and zig markers in yellow and green, Newton's Nook sentiment from Woodland Spring, My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle die, adhesive foam squares to pop up tulip

I brushed some tumbled glass oxide ink through the stencil, trimmed it out with a wonky stitches die,  then embossed it to make it look nice and crisp.  I stamped my sentiment in the center of one of the lower squares, and then affixed that panel to a white card base.  Next I just cut out 2 sets of the stylized tulip, and used distress inks and markers to color them.  I left one tulip assembled, and punched out the details of the 2nd one, then glued it over the full design for a little extra detail.

For my 2nd card, I chose to blend some yellows and orange oxide inks  to make a background.

supplies: white cardstock, acetate, Simon's Detail Ringlet cover die, Mix and Match Squares stencil, (retired) Hello Sunshine Frame dies, oxide inks in squeezed lemonade, mustard seed, fossilized amber, spiced marmalade, carved pumpkin, and ripe persimmon, enamel dot, adhesive foam strips

I happened to have a panel of white cardstock that I had already run through my machine with the Detail Ringlet die, so I trimmed that a bit smaller than an A2 size, and then attached the new stencil and diagonally applied my oxide inks.  I used some of the same inks to color the sun and the word.  To finish I added a large glittery enamel dot to the sun.

I added a backing of acetate to the polaroid die-cut so that I could attach my sun, and then lifted it above the inked stencilled panel. The opening adds another square to the mix!

To see the whole release, please click HERE, and for ideas on how to use them, I hope you'll visit our Gallery HERE.  As always, we've planned blog hops for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26 and 27, and an Instagram hop on Friday, March 5.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll hopefully see you again later this morning for my regular Simon Wednesday Challenge post.

Simon's New LOVE YOU release!

Simon's newest release, LOVE YOU, is live!  What a beautiful array of products for Valentine's Day or for just letting someone know you care!

I received the new Love Greetings Mix, an all-sentiment set that has a lovely variety of fonts.  I made 2 cards for you today.  For this first one, I combined one of the stamps with some other of my personal favorite Simon stamps.

supplies: white cardstock, Simon's NEW Love Greetings Mix, Crackle Background, and Roses for You stamps, adhesive foam squares, Pinkalicious and Soft Granite inks

I had decided first that I wanted to feature this heart-shaped sentiment, so I stamped that in pink and then fussy-cut it, leaving a little border around it.  Then I pulled out my Roses for You set and used the individual leaves, flowers and berries to stamp a heart-shaped wreath.  That was colored with my Zig markers and also fussy-cut.  To finish, I stamped and trimmed a panel of Crackle Background, inking around the edges with the same grey ink.  Then I layered everything together, and popped up the sentiment.

I used another of the sentiments with a new die set from earlier this month and an older cling background, just a variation of my first card.

supplies: white and Green Leaf cardstock, patterned papers from Sunny Studio Rainbow Bright and Doodlebug Gingham pads, Simon's  Love Is cling background stamp, Detailed Rose dies, and sentiment from new Love Greetings Mix

Here's the stamp set I'm featuring today.

Simon Says.......Fun with Dies!

Happy Wednesday - welcome to our challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!

Our theme this week is Fun with Dies.  The team is playing with our own Simon Says Stamp products this week, and I have 2 cards for you.

First up, here's a card that uses a brand new snowflake from the DieCember release.

supplies: white, glitter white, and Bristol cardstock, mermaid lagoonpeacock feathers, and lucky clover distress oxide inks, Simon Jewel Snowflake and Holiday Frames dies, Lots of Snowflakes embossed in white, silver sequins

I smooshed an oxide background, then overstamped various sizes of snowflakes.  The panel was attached to a white cardbase, and then I simply added the sentiment frame and a glittery snowflake.

Here's another card, using a mix of dies and stencils.

supplies: white and silver glitter cardstock, Simon's Christmas Gnome Home stencil and Joy die, bow die, pink and aqua inks, Petal Pink Liquid Pearls

This Gnome Home stencil was part of a card kit from 2019, and I hadn't used it yet.  But when I saw the little leaf sprig and dots in it, I decided to try to make a wreath from it.  I started by using a circle die to lightly draw in a circle on my white panel, then repeatedly moved the stencil around the circle.  Then I haphazardly filled in with the single dots.  After matting my panel with silver cardstock and adding the sentiment and bow, I went back in and added some liquid pearls here and there for a little more dimension. I love this modern Christmas color palette of aqua, pink, and silver!

Now it's your turn!  We have a $25.00 gift certificate

to the amazing Simon Says Stamp store for 1 lucky random winner of this week's challenge!  I can't wait to see what you all make this week!

It's DieCember!!

It's Simon Says Stamp's annual DieCember release - what a fun assortment of dies!

I received the new Detailed Rose die set, and I have 2 cards for you.

supplies: tan, black, Schoolhouse Red, a burgundy, Green Leaf, and a darker green cardstock, Detailed Rose dies, Sunny Studios Quilted Hearts embossing folder

I used the detail dies to cut the black outlines, then the solid images to fill in with color.  I also pieced in a few more burgundy pieces to add extra depth to the image. This is such a big die that I decided to forego the sentiment on this one, until I use it.  I placed the rose over a background with tiny hearts.  Since it's a red rose, it could be for Valentine's Day!

Then I decided to make a more elegant card and changed to gold details for my next one, and put it against a gold hot-foiled background on cream.

supplies: metallic gold, cream, Schoolhouse Red, Green Leaf and a darker green cardstock, Detailed Rose dies, Christmas Blessings dies, Spellbinders Essential Glimmer Rectangles and Glimmer Hot Foil machine, gold glimmer hot foil

Since these colors reminded me of Christmas, I used a Blessings sentiment die.

To see the entire release, just click HERE.  And for ideas on how to use the products, visit our gallery HERE.  There will be 2 blog hops, too; tomorrow and Thursday this week!

Thanks for visiting today!

Simon's Holly Jolly release!!

The latest release from Simon Says Stamp is now live - it's called Holly Jolly!

I was sent a new CZ sentiment die called Chunky Merry.  Here are 2 cards I made with it.

supplies: white, Peacock Teal, and Lipstick Red cardstock, a plaid Lawn Fawn paper, Chunky Merry die, Christmas Foliage dies, snowflake embossing folder, adhesive foam strips to lift word

For this next one, I used both parts of this die set, cutting the shadow die from striped patterned paper.

supplies: white and Lipstick Red cardstock, a striped Christmas patterned paper, Chunky Merry dies, stamped sentiment from Circle Sentiments Christmas, a stripe embossing folder

May be overkill, but I placed everything over an embossed striped background.  The outline letters are stacked 4 deep to make them stand out better against the busy stripes.

To see the entire release, just click HERE, and for more ideas using the new products, I hope you'll visit our gallery HERE.  We have planned a blog hop tomorrow, Dec 7, to showcase these products.

Simon Says Stamp Make Merry release!

Simon's newest release, called MAKE MERRY, is live now!  This month is a mix for the holidays, both Thanksgiving and late fall, as well as Christmas!

I was sent a set of Suzy's Sweater Weather watercolor prints, which include 6 different designs; I chose 2 of them to show you today.

supplies: white card base, watercolor card from Sweater Weather Watercolor prints, Zig markers, antique linen distress ink, and water to color panel, gold seqins

All but one of these designs have a cable knit background - I used antique linen distress ink and water to simulate a fisherman-style sweater.  I darkened the background a bit for my 2nd card.

supplies: ivory cardstock, a watercolor card from Sweater Weather Watercolor Prints, Zig markers and antique linen distress ink and water, adhesive foam to lift sentiment circle

Since there are 2 of the same of each of 6 designs, I was able to cut out the center sentiment circle from 1, and pop it above the design on the other.  These are wonderful quality watercolor cardstock!

To see the entire release, just click HERE, and for more ideas using the new products, I hope you'll visit our gallery HERE.  As always, we have planned 2 blog hops to showcase these products for Friday and Saturday.

STAMPtember Blog Party!

I'm excited today to be participating in a STAMPtember Blog Party!  This is NOT a hop, just a blog celebration of friends who are excited to show off the new STAMPtember goodies that were released yesterday HERE.  Each of us will have a promotional banner to share with our followers - we want you to have fun and see all the different promotions available throughout the party!  Mine is at the top of this post - a mini Speckled Egg Distress inkpad, free with any purchase now through Sept. 2 at midnight!  Just use the code GWSE45.

Everything starts at the Simon Says Stamp Blog. Visit there every day, as throughout all of September we will be celebrating with exclusive collaborations, contests, prizes, promotions and lots of surprises!!

I was sent this new cover plate die called Detail Ringlet Plate and a clear stamp set called Circle Sentiments Christmas.

supplies: white and Lipstick Red cardstock, new Detail Ringlet Plate, markers to color, stamped dotted circle from new Circle Sentiments Christmas, Joy die, Stitched Rectangle die

I took one look at this new cover plate die and thought "quilt"!  So I made an impression, trimmed it just a tad so that I could frame it in red, and took my time and colored it with red, a blue-green, and a minty green.  One of the circles in the new sentiment set is a dotted one, which I thought was a perfect match to the pierced design, and since I wanted to keep the rest of the card pretty simple to balance out the busy design, I just chose a sentiment die to finish my card.

Then I decided to go autumnal - it is September, which is all the reason I need!

supplies: white,  kraft, and Dark Chocolate cardstock, new Detail Ringlet Plate, markers to color, Four Seasons die, Stitched Rectangle die

This time I only colored in the center part of the design and then added my die-cut and stamped sentiment.

Here's one more, left alone and paired with a sentiment from the new Sympathy Greetings Mix and a flower.

supplies: white and orchid pink cardstock, new Detail Ringlet Plate die, new Sympathy Greetings Mix clear set, Love Always rose, MFT Mini Stitched Scallop rectangle die, Zig markers

HERE's a card from yesterday using the Sympathy Greetings Mix set, and I'll have another card for you using my new goodies on my regular Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge post HERE.

Thanks for coming by today.  If you haven't already, head over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog to see a complete list of others participating in today's party.  And don't forget to take note of all the promotions you'll find as you visit each one.  Enjoy!
