A Winter Thank You

I wanted to make a thank you card for a sweet lady, and when I found out she lived in Texas, I grabbed this fun Big Howdy snowman to make it.

supplies: white and Surf Blue cardstock, snowflake dp from Sunny Studio Holiday Cheer pad, circle die, PrintWorks Big Howdy cling snowman, Paper Smooches Birch Tree die, Impression Obsession cardinal die, sentiment from Simon Frozen Fractels set,  Echo Park Snow Flurry embossing folder, twine

I first saw this stamp at Pam Sparks' blog, and she had added this lasso idea to her card - I think it's genius!  She was the reason I bought this stamp, as we have family in TX.  So glad to be able to pull it out and use it again this year!

Thanks for stopping by!

Noel

Hello crafters!  Hope you're having a great weekend!  I continue to play with my new alphabet dies, this time pairing them with some patterned papers from Simon's December Card Kit from 2018.  Love these fresh patterns mixing aquas and reds!  I also mixed a couple of companies' dies for today's design.

supplies: Schoolhouse Red cardstock, dps from Echo Park Celebrate Winter (retired), PinkFresh Studio Adore Alpha dies and their Leafy Wreaths die, Wplus9 Folk Art Florals bird die (retired), Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle die, tiny red pearls

After cutting out the hemstitch detail from my background, I adhered it to the red card base, then die-cut my letters and wreath, and used my T-square ruler to line up my word.  These candy-cane letters make me smile!  And once again, I love the tiny edging that is included with each letter, something I wasn't aware of when I bought this alphabet, but it's proving to be a wonderful little detail!

Enjoy your day - thanks for your visit!

Simon Says ........Card & Envelope

Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to another challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!

wed-newchallenge-header

This week we want you to make a card and an envelope to match.  You can make your own envelope or decorate one that is ready-made.  The team are playing with We R Memory Keepers products this week.  I used my corner chomper to round the bottom corners of my card and the envelope flap.

supplies: glitter white (for large snowflake), white and Surf Blue card stock, MFT Tiny Check dp, Echo Park Snow Flurry embossing folder, metallic white ink for accenting, Simon Scallop Stitches and Eliza Snowflake dies and Four Seasons Sayings sentiment, large pearl, corner chomper to round bottom corners

I bought this snowflake embossing folder because of the smaller size of the flakes and the density of the design.  Of course I had to add a little gingham

Here it is again with its matching envelope.  I embossed the flap using the same folder, and stamped some snowflakes on the lower left corner of the front.

supplies for envelope: Simon Metallic White envelope, Lots of Snowflakes stamps, Lake House ink, Snow Flurry embossing folder

Now it's your turn!  We have a $50.00 gift certificate

Flowers in the Snow

We all need to write thank yous for the gifts we just received........

supplies: white and Audrey Blue card, Echo Park Snow Flurry embossing folder, Altenew Hope clear stamp set, Audrey Blue, High Dive, Warm Sunshine, Orange Cream, and Green Meadow inks, Simon's Thanks dies, adhesive foam squares

I think this flower looks like a simple peony, even the leaves and buds, and my first instinct was to stamp it in pinks.  But since this is January, and I wanted to pair it with the embossed snowflake background, I thought these blues would be a better choice this time.

Simon Says........Halloween/Spooky

Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to another challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!

wed-newchallenge-header

Our theme this week is "Halloween/Spooky", and we'll be playing with Echo Park products.  I chose a stencil and made 2 cards with it.

supplies: purple, black and Green Apple card stock, Echo Park Creepy Bats stencil, black soot distress ink, Simon Trick or Treat cat and sentiment, Stitched Rectangle die, adhesive foam strips

I stencilled the bats onto green card, cut a stitched rectangle, framed it with black and placed that panel on a purple card.  The bat is fussy-cut from the excess stencilled panel, and it and the cat are popped above the card.

Here's one more.

supplies: Simon's black, slate, sunshine, and orange peel card stock, Echo Park Creepy Bats stencil, black soot distress ink, some stamped bats from above Trick or Treat set, Impression Obsession Birch Tree dies, Hero Arts Upper Case Alphabet dies, Spellbinders circle die

I stencilled on the slate card, then added a moon, using just one of the stencil bats for the large bat and stamped some smaller ones across the moon, too.

Now it's your turn!  We have a $50.00 gift certificate
