The Color Room Palette #7

Here's another new challenge I just found, at the Color Room.  I love the inspiration apron, and this was a challenge to work the orange into the paler pastels.

I really like the checks/dots at the waist and hem, so I used my houndstooth stamp and spiced marmalade on cream to simulate that effect.  And I liked the big flowers.  Here is what I came up with.
All the other papers I used were printed ones.

Supplies: Stampendous Ruffled Bloom, Hero Arts K5175 Houndstooth, CL173 Simple Messages, CG148 Blossoms (leaves), Martha Stewart doily punch, Hero Arts spring buttons, pink embroidery floss

What a wonderful take on this challenge, Lin! I love the way you've used the Houndstooth stamp! Such a great look with the doily punch! Your flower turned out beautifully stamping it on that pretty paper! :)

What a wonderful take on the challenge! You are reminding me to pull out some older stamps (houndstooth) and get them inky again!

hi lin ~ so pretty. love this flower!!
for the color room, you click on "sign up" and go through the steps to upload your photos & create your own gallery, much like flickr. i can't remember exactly what i did, and now of course i am a member so i'm not seeing the same beginner's steps, but it must be fairly self-explanatory, if i managed to do it!! ;)
i'm not sure if i've helped you, but good luck!!
