A Family is a Patchwork ....

I was bopping around Pinterest and found a great tutorial for making a patchwork background.  Couldn't wait to give it a try, and here is my result:

supplies: seafoam and kraft cardstocks, papers from Simple Stories Harvest Lane, Echo Park This & That and Happy Days, October Afternoon 9 to 5 buttons, jute twine, Sizzix little flowers embossing folder, Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam squares

My strips are 1/2" and the majority of the papers are from my Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper pad, which also provided the center image - its sentiment could not be more perfect!  I used a little floral embossing folder to emboss the patchwork background before attaching it to my card base.

Entering this into the Moxie Fab World's Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks Week: Journaling Cards challenge.

Gorgeous! Only a quilter would cut up all that paper just to put it back together again in a different configuration.
