Hero Arts November challenge

It's a new month, so we have a new challenge at the Hero Arts Blog.  We always get 3 different criteria each month; one of them this month is a color challenge, to use at least 3 of these 5 colors in our card:

I thought they were intriguing, so I've made 3 cards so far this month to enter.  Here is the first:

supplies: white cardstock, Hero Arts CL630 Miracle of the Holidays, CL562 Snowflakes, CL462 Magic of Christmas, CL357 Holiday Dolls, CL234 Winter's Butterfly, Wet Cement ink, and an unknown glittered snowflake diecut

I masked off the area around the sentiment, and then filled the white space with lots of different snowflakes using the colors above, making my own designer paper.

Then I thought that the colors in the Basic Grey Aspen Frost collection were a good representation of the colors, so here's another one using those papers:

supplies: Hero Arts Tides layering paper as a card base, turned inside out so that the color is on the inside, white cardstock, Basic Grey Aspen Frost paper pad, Nesties circle die, Hero Arts CL462 Magic of Christmas, CL460 Joy to All, VersaFine onyx black ink, VersaMark ink and white embossing powder, red and white pearls, distress markers to color stripes on ornament, hemp  to secure ornament into opening

This is pretty busy, I know, but I think the quilter in me who likes to play with different patterns took over on this one!  I also had in mind a challenge from Basic Grey to use their products and incorporate stripes.

And here's one more (I told you I really like these colors):

supplies: Pool layering paper, kraft cardstock, Hero Arts stamps CG222 Music Background, S5242 Big Pine Bough, CL630 Miracle of the Holidays, Colorbox Frost White, crushed olive and barn door distress inks, unknown glittered acetate snowflake

Yes, I do see the quilter in these cards - and the colors are working so great together. Especially love the masked snowflake card - it has kind of a retro look, which I love.

I'm lovin' the way you're using these colors, Lin! All three cards are beautiful but I REALLY love the first one - so bright and happy! :)

Fabulously festive cards Lin! I love the idea of stamping snowflakes in something other than white or blue and this colour combo is perfect for them!
