The Square Punch Challenge

Another of Cath's challenges tied to a new publication is called The Square Punch challenge; we are to incorporate punched squares into our design.

As a matter of fact, the reason I have my 2 sizes of square punches is to use them to make little quilts on my cards.  So for this card, I punched white 3/4" squares and 4 colors of dotted ones, then cut them all on the diagonal to make these triangles, and then pieced them back together into a pinwheel design.  Then I added a thin green border and a wider white one, and "bound" it with a very thin blue frame.  As I usually do, I then embossed it to make it look like it's been "quilted".  And I think "warm wishes" makes a good sentiment to go with a quilt.

supplies: white, green, and aqua cardstock, Amuse dotted papers, 3/4" square punch,  Hero Arts CL491 Made with Love, VersaFine onyx black ink, Cuttlebug Wicker Weave Embossing folder,

Wonderfully cozy and oh, so dear, Lin! You must be a woman of great patience with all those tiny paper triangles. My mother-in-law was a great quilter and I know she would have loved this gem, as do I.
