Happy Wednesday! Welcome to another challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!
Our challenge this week is to use patterned paper, and what better company to highlight than Doodlebug?! Their 6" paper pads are perfectly sized for cards. I have 2 for you today, with some bright colors to lift our winter doldrums!
supplies: white and Doll Pink card stock, various Doodlebug 6" paper pads, Simon's Summer Flowers and Love and Friendship clear stamp sets, retired MFT Blueprints 20 die (banner) and Winnie & Walter Audrey's cutaways (xo die), adhesive foam squares
I used a strip quilt design for my background, edged it with x's and o's lined in pink, and then just added a flower and sentiment banner.
Next up, a super simple design that you can do in 10 minutes or less.

supplies: white cardstock, a Doodlebug floral and a pink gingham from Gingham/Linen Rainbow Petite Prints paper pad, Simon's Smile Circle die, Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Border die
If you visit here often, you'll remember that I love all things gingham, and mixing a gingham with a floral like this makes me smile big! This Gingham paper pad is a must-have - it has 24 different ginghams, ranging from pinks through greys and black, and everything in between, and the reverse is a solid linen look.
This would be a good design for a quick set of cards.....just change the colors of gingham for each one!
The scalloped die cuts a scallop edge, with an inner stitch line - I just hand-cut along that line and then separated the 2 pieces a bit when I attached them to my floral base.

These cards brighten up a winter day! Great use of little scraps!
Both cards are so cheery, Lin. I, too, love Doodlebug papers but have a hard time using most papers since I am very color challenged. Great job on both of these cards.
I like all of the cheerful and happy patterns you've combined, these are delightful!
Two darling cards, Lin - you really maximized that patterned paper! Especially love the quilt strip with the stamped stitches & fab flower!!
two awesome cards Lin. You are so awesome at mixing together the PP. Must be your quilting background coming to the fore!
Both cards are gorgeous! I love the way you created a design with paper strips on the first one! Beautiful! Your second one is bright and cheerful and I love that it is a quick card. Sometimes we need quick but it doesn't look quick!
2 very pretty cards Lin. The quilt design on the first one is fantastic and love the cas design on the second x
Love that quilt strip design! Brilliant use of PP. And such a lovely combination for the second card.
