Finding Inspiration

At Moxie Fab World, Cath has challenged us to create a card based on this layout:

Here is my submission:

I cased it almost completely, using the same sketch and colors, just substituting my own designs in the circles and the rectangle.  The papers are all scraps from my basket, the sunflower is actually a cut-out piece from a used piece of stationery, and the butterflies are stamped with distress inks, spiced marmalade and peeled paint.  And like the layout, I used some buttons, too.  The only thing I didn't mimic was the stitching.  I really enjoyed putting this together - having those circles go off the block is something I wouldn't have done on my own, but I really like the effect, and hopefully will do it again.  And these colors on the pale aqua were a fun surprise, too - love this combination!

Supplies: Hero Arts CL115 Designer Butterflies, CL169 Happy Days, cream, pale aqua cardstocks, various rusty orange, gold and green printed papers,  Memories artprint brown and spiced marmalade and peeled paint distress inks, buttons, twine

This is Moxie fab-ulous, Lin! Even if you cased the layout, you still made it your own and it turned out great!
