Music and Roses

supplies: pink parchment card base, cream card stock, Memory Box "Valise" design paper, Hero Arts K5340 Silhouette Meadow Flowers, CG222 Music Background, versafine onyx black ink,  Papertrey Ink tiny tags dies and stamp and sentiment, wide pink gingham ribbon, Recollections "Boutique Fleur"

Hello blogging friends.  I seem to find myself in a little low period and nothing I make seems to please me.  I don't want to lose you, too, so today I'm sharing a card I made for the last call at Papercrafts Magazine for their January/February issue.  It didn't get chosen, so I can share it with you today; it was for the stamp kissing category.  I kissed the music background to the silhouette flower stamp before stamping.  The text background is from the Memory Box "Valise" collection, and is all about music, so I thought this was a good match for my theme.

My posts may be a little sporadic as I work through this period, but I'll at least be around once a week for the Lily Pad Card posts on Fridays.  And I'll be visiting your blogs, too, hoping that something there will spark my imagination again.  Thanks so much for all your support; I appreciate it more than you know.  Hugs!

Ugh! I totally know the feeling Lin! Your card share today is exquisite! I love the black and pink combination! The kissing method worked so perfectly and I adore that pink flower on the pink gingham ribbon! When I see gingham I think of you! You know, sometimes we just need a break and do something completely different. Hugs, Brenda

Lin, your work is "signature". I recognize it even when I don't see your little tag line identifying that it was your art. And it's always (underline "always") inspiring! You give so much to the art community that I think you have no cause for concern when there's a lull. I shall keep looking for you and your arts with patience, and with confidence that you will be rejuvenated. Sending you love and hugs. ♥

Well, I don't think you ever have to worry about losing any of us, Lin! We all go through it. And if you saw my blog post today, I'm in the same boat. Not feeling anything right now and I think the most difficult part is the WANTING to create but nothing happens. I love this pretty card with the splash of pink! Hang in there, my friend and hopefully we will both find a bit of mojo soon! Hugs!

I echo what Barb said - you'll NEVER lose us! Whatever you touch, turns to gold. This card is gorgeous - you know they are on MY favorite color palette and anything with music makes my heart sing. Turn on some fun music and pamper yourself. Even if you just need to do some craft room organizing, that will turn blue to sunny yellow!!! xoxo Blessings honey.

Love the black background with the pop of pink! Beautiful use of the Valise papers. Sorry your mojo is hiding. Best thing to do is enjoy everything else and your inspiration will show up unexpectedly!
