As we were driving home earlier this week, we noticed dogwoods just barely coming into bloom; they were hard to pick out because they start out as a creamy green color, then turn to cream and then to white as they mature. I decided to feature this lovely Hero Arts dogwood sprig and use bundled sage distress ink to stamp it on ivory cardstock. Then I found some papers to match that particular soft green to finish off my card:
supplies: ivory cardstock, design papers from pink paislee Nantucket and imaginations Debbie Mumm Grass Stripe, Hero Arts 657773 Antique Flowers & Butterflies, The Craft's Meow Fly Free sentiment, bundled sage distress ink, ivory seam binding, Nesties labels eighteen, Scrapbook Adhesives 3D adhesive squares to pop flowers, EKSuccess sticko dimensional stickers for centers of flowers
Also entering this again into the Simon Says Stamp challenge, to use your favorite tool - I love my cuttlebug and diecuts or framecuts - sure does beat the old-fashioned way of fussy-cutting out stamped images!

Another beauty, Lin! You are on a roll! This soft green is so delicate and just perfect for the challenge.
Hello Lin
You have captured the essence of Spring beautifully in this card, not only because of your Dogwoods, but your choice of Sage green.
The Palette generates a warmth, and using White as your accent makes one feel as fresh as a Dewdrop, it has a calmness; a wonderful subdued and earthy feel. Popping up the image makes certain that it is the first thing the eye acknowledges, then the Bow and lastly your wonderful Bg.
Thank you so very much for joining us this week at OCC, we are pleased to see your work.

So lovely in this monochromatic soft green palette, Lin. At first, I thought they might be clover. THis would be a perfect, different kind of St. Patrick's Day card.

A year after your original Blog post, I noticed your card posted on Pinterest and immediately was inspired by it. Just want you to know that I have just cased it and am thrilled with the result. Fabulous idea and another use for the stamps and dies. Made a couple of minor changes but basically stuck to your original creation. Thank you so much for the inspiration!
Judy, thank you so much for the sweet words......I can't see any other way to write you, so I'll do it here and hope you come to visit here again!
