Winter Wonderland

I've been wanting to try my hand at a vellum shaker envelope, and finally did it.......I had an extra panel of stamped Avery Elle trees from their Let It Snow set, and just stitched a piece of vellum over it, closing it up after I'd added some snowflake and other sequins ....Here's the result:

other supplies: Simon's Surf Blue cardstock, Winnie & Walter's sentiment from their new Winter Wonderland set, and a Penny Black snowflake cut from glitter paper

The sequins don't move as freely as in a regular shaker, but it's still a fun effect, don't you think?

Lin it's wonderful, love the blues! I think you've inspired me to make vellum shaker card too. I find the traditional one (with the form tape) is a bit thick to send via snail mail! :)

Ein Traum von Karte.
Ich liebe diese zarten filigranen Eiskristalle.
Es sieht so fantastisch aus.
Und die kleinen, schwebenden Flocken, im Innern der Karte, runden das Bild ab.
Super schön!

I love this idea, especially with the snowflakes because the vellum adds to the sense of soft snow. Stunning Lin!

This is so pretty. Love the colors & that gorgeous snowflake. Now that's two shaker cards in a row that I've seen with vellum. I think I have to try one, too.
