supplies: BoBunny coral dot and chiffon flourish papers, Hobby Lobby lace, Papertrey Ink "A Year of Flowers: Violets", watercolor paper and diluted distress inks, Prismacolor white colored pencil, Hero Arts CL586 XO, VersaFine onyx black ink
I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper, then mixed some distress inks to get as close as I could to the flower colors in the header. I'd have liked them to be a bit more pale in color, but overall , I think it's a good representation of it's inspiration. Hope this little bouquet of pansies makes you smile.
Here in Florida we have a week of 80 degrees, with beautiful blue skies, white puffy clouds, and abundant sunshine. My DH went into the pool today for the first time and he pronounced it "refreshing". Life is good! Thank you for visiting today - I appreciate your sweet comments so much.

I LOVE this! Such great colors ;)What a beautiful job you did with the distress inks!
Beautiful blog header and card!! So inspiring! It must be the lovely warm Florida temperature!!? I wish I could still be in FL with you strolling at the Piazza! HUGS!
Lin I really love your new blog header and the gorgeous card you made to go with it! I can understand why at 80F you are thinking of Spring! We are having a week in the upper 70's here in Houston with high humidity, and it does feel like Spring is not too far away!
This is refreshing too! Just like a jump in the pool! So cool and pretty and cheery. Have a great time Lin!
Beautiful!!!
Hi Lin! Love your new header - as you know, I adore pansies too! They should be arriving at the store in another month or so, and I can't wait to see those bowls full of beauty! I also love the way your header inspired this beautiful card! Pretty colors, and the lace is perfect!
I am so jealous of the weather there in Florida, but we dodged another bullet, and the big snow storm we were suppose to get ended up being lots of rain. I'd still rather have 80 degrees and sunshine - enjoy it, my friend! :)
I miss the blue bird. The card is stunning though.
gorgeous card to go with a gorgeous header Lin. Sounds like spring in your part of the world... it's even warmer than our summer here has been.
It's so beautiful... love your flower and the color.
80 degrees? One can only dream. LOL Love your new header and the card is such a pretty interpretation of it! I love pansies; but then I love most any flower. Can't really think of one I don't like. Looking forward to spring, warm weather, flowers blooming and birds singing.
Did you jump in the pool, too??
Hi, Lin! Gorgeous card AND header! I love how you used the header image as your inspiration! Wonderful handmade pansies! :-)
Lin your flowers ALWAYS make me smile and today it came with a hug!! Beautiful watercoloring.
Lin, what a beautiful card. It reminds me of sunshine.
Your weather sounds wonderful, we've had nothing but rain here for what seems like forever! Summer here in Australia was a bust this year :( xoxoxo
pansies are one of my favorite flowers, Lin, and you have recreated them perfectly! This says spring like nothing else. Glad you are where it is warm.
Your header is lovely - as is your card! We are in the middle of a huge snowstorm here in NH!!! No spring yet...
The weather sounds lovely and your card reflects it with the lovely flowers!
