I pulled out some of my old favorites from when I started stamping and here's my result:
All woodblock stamps, I used G2991 Friends Background, from 2004, F2621 A Real Violet and F2623 A Real Flower Drooping, both from 2002.
No bells or whistles, dies or sequins, just stamping in it's purest form. I used mini ink cubes (another thing that I believe Hero Arts pioneered back then with their little shadow ink cubes) to ink up these stamps, "huffing" on them before stamping. I've always loved the look of text on cards, and this one is just right, in memory of the friends we all made through the Hero Arts Flickr group.
I have so much gratitude for Hero Arts for starting me on this journey! Here's to at LEAST 45 years more!

A lovely card Lin - the background stamp is a perfect backdrop for your delicate flowers
so pretty Lin - and so many memories - think I met you in the Flickr HA group or maybe the 90 minute challenge.
Love this, would make a great set of note cards.
Beautiful and brings back good memories. We all do it....CASE Shari Carroll because she is so CASEable! Hero Arts (quality and excellence) and Shari Carroll (artist extraordinaire) are two of the main reasons many of us are stamping and creating today, I think!
Beautiful cards, Lynn- AGAIN!!! LOVE your color combinations! Not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but I have a shopping alert for you- Altenew has 3 sets of edge dies! Since our tastes are so similar, I think you will love these, too... Fine Frames Cover Die, Fine Frames Rectangles Die, Fine Frames Circles die. Last 2 are smaller- cut with card stock mounted on double-stick paper (you're welcome) in gold foil cs, dark green, & black. Oh, my gosh!!! Hope you can get them on sale!! Have a lovely weekend! Kathy
Saw this on IG and had to come over here for the details. This card shows the beauty of simply stamping; no bells and whistles required.
Lin, this is beautiful!!! I have all these stamps and I want to go play with them again! Beautiful card!!
`So pretty Lin. A real "Hero Arts" card. Loved their text stamps and sweet flowers. Here's to friendships made through the Hero Arts Flickr group and the Hero Arts blog!
Lin, I'd say this defines the beauty of Hero Arts in the most amazing way! LOve it, and wonder if this is what the pages of the dictionary look after all those years of flower pressing!
