Textured to Perfection

The challenge this month at Moxie Fab World is to incorporate texture.  Coincidentally, while going through my closet this week I found this unframed cross-stitch project, and thought it might qualify for the challenge.  I used to cross-stitch back in the 80's and 90's, until my eyesight and the cost of framing forced me to stop.  I like the idea of recycling this little piece on a card:

supplies: gold card base, BoBunny slate dot and wild berry flourish double dot, Hero Arts CL397 SparkleClear Sew Original, tiny buttons

I simply stitched it onto a piece of cardstock to stabilize it, then sewed on some buttons and the simple sentiment, and framed it up with some coordinating colors.

Very cute! I know I have some cross stitch projects around too! Maybe something worthy of a card? Thanks for sharing and the great idea! I probably have something done in plastic canvas too...

This is beautiful to use a piece of cross stitch you did several years ago onto a new card. I think I would want to frame this.

So cool that you used a little cross stitch design on your card! I used to do quite a bit of cross stitching myself! I wonder how many of us paper crafters did before the scrapbooking boom?
