I had a free day to myself yesterday, so I played with this wonderful Wplus9
Quilt Prints stamp set. Using my
Hero Arts mid-tone inks, I first stamped the "stitched" outline in Charcoal, then filled in the "fabrics" with Green Hills, Butter Bar, and Bubble Gum. After trimming my panel to fit my card base, I ran it through a Cuttlebug
Houndstooth embossing folder to give it that dimpled look that real quilts have after being washed many times.
Then using some rose cardstock and BoBunny Passion Fruit dotted papers, I die-cut 2 each of the 3 sizes of PTI's Beautiful Blooms II flowers, securing them with a little yellow Basic Grey brad. My leaf dies are from Wplus9's
Folk Art Florals die set, and the sentiment comes from an old clear set, an Archiver's/Hero Arts exclusive.
Love this new quilt set - I hope that Wplus9 continues to offer us more in the same style!

What a great card Lin. First looking at it, I thought you had fussy cut PP to fill in the stitching... but what a great set that allows you to fill in the pieces. Very impressive.
wow....this card is so lovely. I remember my grandmother having a quilt like this. You rocked this card!!!!
Love that quilt stamping and embossing - its so realistic isn't it. I'm loving Wplus9 at the moment. There was a stockist in the UK but they seem to have stopped getting the new releases now. And I just love your banner photo Lin - gorgeous!
I love the colors you used on this card.....it looks like it took a long time to make and is so beautiful. I get so inspired by your cards Lin. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Beautiful quilt! Love that stamp set. Love your choice of colors!!
That is a beautiful card and I have this set on my wish list. This makes me want it eve more!
So cozy and wonderful, Lin! This is a very special card - such lovely colors and details. And, I haven't used a brad in years (need to dust them off and use them or get rid of them). This all comes together so beautifully with your lovely flower and that perfect sentiment. Makes me want to crawl back in bed with a good book! A five-star winner, here!
I saw this on Flickr and fell in love with it :) This is beautiful - think I am going to have to get this stamp and see what I can do with it - looks extremely tedious but you have made it sound very simple. AND as I said on Flickr - it is SO YOU!
Have a blessed day.
What a delightful card, Lin! Wonderful choice of "quilt" colors, too. (I saw a card of yours sometime ago that featured a beautiful dotted red flower...and now I realize it was the PTI die set. Some day, I will have to buy that.)
Pretty CAS card, Lin! Love your choice of colours and that fab quilt stamp and handmade flower! Lisa x
How totally beautiful Lin! THose colours are stunning as always!
Wow, using the houndstooth embossing folder over the stamping was genius! the effect is perfect! Beautiful card!
Oh, my. I stopped by to return the favor of a comment, and found this beautiful quilt. It is so beautiful, and I am pinning it to give me ideas for my Quilt Print set.

I love the texture from the embossing folder, it's subtle but adds so much interest.
Oh wow Lin! This really looks like a miniature quilt!! Love it!
This blows my mind... it looks like a REAL FABRIC QUILT! Perfection. :)
Oh, I just adore what you've done with Quilt Prints, Lin! What a beautiful, spring palette, and the embossing really gives it that quilted look!
I absolutely love this.
Lin, this is such a fabulous card! The quilt background is absolutely gorgeous (wow to all the work that went into it!) and I love the wonderful flower!
