Baby, it's COLD!!

Since I had my paste out earlier today, I thought I'd try using it with glitter.  This stencil  is called Let It Snow, and I used part of it on my plaid card HERE.  Thought I'd concentrate just on the snowflakes this time.  This isn't the best picture; it's taken at night, and I had to do some editing.....

Stenciled Day 3, Paste and glitter

After spreading the modeling paste on the stencil and lifting it, I carefully sprinkled on 4 different blues and greens and a white glitter (an old Martha Stewart Winter Wonderland set).  I let that dry most of the afternoon, and weighted it down around the edges, as it warped a bit as it dried.  To finish I stamped a sentiment from Kelly Purkey's Let It Snow stamp set and added various sequins.  Here's a closer shot to show the gorgeous sparkle:

It's far from perfect, but I had fun making it!  Thanks for stopping by - keep warm!

  1. Very pretty and sparkly - I love the glittery snowflakes. The sequins add just the right amount of extra bling, too.

  8. Beautiful Lin. How did you get the glitter to stick? Is is a very fine glitter? I tried with some distress glitter on a tiny stencil and it was a disaster.

Back to your gorgeousness...those snow flakes are lovely and dimensional and sparkly...just like a pristine snow on a sunny day.

  12. Those are some beautifully glittered snowflakes!

We've got some white glittering snow on the ground, but with temps near 50 this coming weekend, it'll all be gone.
